Life Legal 20th Anniversary Dinner
Please mark your calendars for the Life Legal Defense Foundation Annual Dinner, to be held Saturday, November 7, 2009, at the San Ramon Marriott Hotel. There will be a reception at 6:00, the dinner to begin at 7:00. This year’s dinner will mark LLDF’s 20th anniversary. Please join us for this special celebration of life.
Our speaker this year is the Rev. Dr. Clenard H. Childress, Jr., President of the Life and Education and Resource Network (L.E.A.R.N.) and host of the broadcast “The Urban Prophet,” which takes the pro-life, pro-family message into urban areas.
Rev. Childress is a friend and mentor to Pastor Walter Hoye, who will also be there to talk about his arrest and prosecution under the “Mother May I” ordinance passed by the City of Oakland [See “Mother, May I” Law Challenged in Federal Court]
Both Childress and Hoye are concerned about the genocide of the African-American Community by abortion, which led to their involvement in spreading the pro-life message.

Oct. 23, 2009: It has been brought to LLDF's attention that J.W. Marriott supports Planned Parenthood. LLDF was not aware of this when the dinner at the San Ramon Marriott was scheduled. In expressing our concern regarding J.W. Marriott’s support of Planned Parenthood, the San Ramon Marriott responded that while they carry the name “Marriott” it is managed as an independent hotel and the San Ramon location has not donated to Planned Parenthood. Nonetheless, LLDF is in the process of ongoing conversations with management at the San Ramon location with the goal of stopping funding at the international level. Thank you to those of you who brought this to LLDF's attention and for your understanding as LLDF continues its discussions with the management at the San Ramon location. Please pray for our success in stopping the funding of Planned Parenthood by J.W. Marriott.
